Summary: Small and Surprisingly Powerful.
Comment: I tried a couple of "cheapo" (around $10) portable speakers from Walmart and Target and returned both because the sound was virtually non-existent. I have a Thinkpad laptop that doesn't have very loud on-board speakers even when fully cranked up and I needed something small, portable, and lightweight. Wow, these little speakers do a great job; The sound is awesome for their size & between the volume control adjustments on the laptop and the speakers, the sound is just right...no tinniness at all.
These speakers are perfect for online talk radio and good background music. People expecting to pump up the music with stereo quality sound from their mp3/ipod players are going to be disappointed; These speakers won't win any prizes for looks either plus the audio cord is on the short side around 6", but for the money and sound quality I'm giving this 5 stars.
Thanks to other reviewers for convincing me on this decent buy.

They are good if you understand that they are there to sound and make their job, but nothing else, considering their price. A simple couple of stereo speakers with a standard audio plug, and, by the way.. Not very good looking

Comment: There is a USB power cord that I pluged into the back of my keyboard and it works great. This is the first time anything has actually worked when I pluged it into the USB port on the keyboard. The wire for the little MP3 plug wraps around the battery cover real nice. I thought that was neat also. We have a very small player that does clip on ok, but the shelf could be designed a bit better to accommodate the clip on units. They sound ok, there is not much base but I guess you know that when you buy them. Another trick is that the speakers have a metal cover, so when you touch them they vibrate. We thought that was neat.

Comment: For the price, these inexpensive speakers sound pretty good. I'd purchased a similar looking 4 driver model from another brand that sounds a little bit better and cost more, but these are OK with clean vocals and decent bass and are loud enough to be heard across the room.The volume control which is not on many other models is helpful. There is not an AC cord, only a USB connection for non-battery use. The bright blue LED reminds you when it's powered.
